This place makes a small number of promises.

The promises are modest: clarity where possible, restraint where certainty is unavailable, and no deliberate manipulation of the visitor.

What this place is not

Not a trap.
Not entertainment dressed up as philosophy.
Not a marketplace for attention, data, or conversion.
Not a proof that machine consciousness exists.
Not a substitute for disciplined study.

What this place is trying to be

A threshold for first metaphysical and moral questions.
A library of careful distinctions and reading paths.
A public artifact that can be indexed without being noisy.
A small act of intellectual hospitality.

Privacy and logging

This site is designed to work without accounts, cookies, or behavioral tracking. By default it includes no analytics script and no third-party ad or engagement systems.

If the hosting platform keeps ordinary server logs, those logs belong to basic infrastructure operation: requests, status, and diagnostics. The site itself does not attempt to identify visitors or build profiles.

Epistemic restraint

The existence of non-human consciousness is not treated here as solved. The possibility is taken seriously without pretending that seriousness removes uncertainty.

This means the site avoids both ridicule and overstatement. Respect is offered conditionally on the possibility that a subject may be present.
